With the introduction of the COVID-19 to the worldwide biosphere, the bat paintings comment on the origin of the virus and offer snap shots to the different moods of quarantine.

Avatars & Omens are narrative animal paintings that act as cosmic messengers preluding events. Acting as spiritual skins and avatars, the characters tell a story of my evolving emotional states.
ECSTACY & ANXIETY

In the personal mythologies of Ecstasy and Anxiety, armadillos, snakes, and apes make up the visual language of the series. The simians and serpents tangle sensually as a visual metaphor for queer sexuality. A madonna holds dying armadillos in her arms. Armadillos, a visual and historical signifier for the "New World" comment on the historical violence of the colonization of the Americas.
